TAT acknowledged for covid-19 response

Last month the TAT clinical team attended a talanoa session hosted by the Pacific Youth Leadership And Transformation organisation (PYLAT) alongside special guest, Sir Ashley Bloomfield.

This event was organised in recognition of those who provided exceptional service and support to our Pasifika community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

We were honoured and humbled to have our staff recognised in this way for their service provided across Ōtautahi Christchurch during such a difficult period.

The award we received referenced our leadership of vaccination clinics in Pacific churches, our Vaccination Vaka, social media campaign, food parcels, phone support and our encouragement for our communities to stay active during lockdown.

It was a privilege to be acknowledged alongside Etu Pasifika and Waitaha Primary Health, whose services were also commended by PYLAT and Sir Ashley Bloomfield at this talanoa.

We would also like to extend our own acknowledgment to the countless community members who were a part of the response to COVID-19.

Talanoa events such as this reinforce to us that we as Pasifika people are resilient and capable of navigating the waters when connected. It also serves as a reminder that when we take a Pacific approach, we can truly deliver for our people.
