Loto Toa Wellbeing Challenge

Loto Toa is excited to launch the 2026 Social Media Wellbeing Challenge, celebrating the creativity, culture, and wellbeing of all schools registered for SPACPAC Canterbury Polyfest 2026.

This challenge invites Polyfest groups to showcase how they support mental health, cultural connection, and collective strength throughout their rehearsal season.

In the build‑up to Polyfest, uploaded videos will be shared across our social media platforms to uplift our Pacific community and promote positive wellbeing messaging.


Content Creation

Your school’s video must:

  • Demonstrate how your Polyfest group supports mental health and wellbeing

  • Highlight specific self-care practices and explain why they are meaningful to your group

  • Include a minimum of 10 seconds of Pacific singing and dancing. The majority of your Polyfest group must be present during this segment

  • Must feature at least three generations (students, parents, grandparents, staff, tutors or community members)

  • Must have a length of 30 seconds to 2 minutes maximum


Prize Categories

Up to $8,000 worth of prizes will be awarded across three categories:

  • Best Wellbeing Message and Practice - $1,500 NZD Pasifika Prize pack, which includes a professional photo shoot session

  • Highest Online Engagement i.e. most likes, comments and shares - $1,000 NZD and group prize pack

  • Most Creative - $500 NZD and group prize pack

    Note: All cash prizes awarded through this event are designated exclusively for the participating Polyfest groups. Each group will independently determine how their prize funds are allocated or utilised, in alignment with their collective priorities and decisions.


Registration details

All Polyfest groups can register by completing their entry form here and uploading it via the section below. Registration and submissions will close on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at 11:59pm.

Please note that all wellbeing videos will be uploaded to our TikTok platform. The online competition will run until 11:59pm on Wednesday, 1st of April,2026.

Acceptable Video Formats

To ensure we can share your content smoothly on our socials, please submit your video in:

  • MP4 or MOV format

  • Vertical or portrait mode (9:16 aspect ratio)

  • High resolution (1080p recommended)
