Our purpose:

Tangata Atumotu is the longest serving Pasifika health and social service provider in the Canterbury region. Over recent times, our staff numbers have grown to meet the demand of our services. Our Trust is governed by a Pasifika Board who are active members of the local Christchurch Pasifika community, with a strong dedication to the health and wellbeing of Pasifika people. We have an extensive, strong, and trusted presence in the local Pasifika community. Our core services address immediate health and social needs as well as social determinants of health.

The role:

The Casual Driver plays a key role in primarily supporting the delivery of the Mānuia Programmes and any other programme as needed by providing safe, reliable, and respectful transport for our mātua (elder) clients or other clients as required. This role contributes to a culturally safe, welcoming, and supportive environment, and provides hands‑on operational support to programme delivery as needed. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a current NZ driver’s license and be eligible to work in NZ

  • Be expected to promote health practice, including immunisation, and to model health choices.
