Our purpose:
Tangata Atumotu is the longest serving Pasifika health and social service provider in the Canterbury region. Over recent times, our staff numbers have grown to meet the demand of our services. Our Trust is governed by a Pasifika Board who are active members of the local Christchurch Pasifika community, with a strong dedication to the health and wellbeing of Pasifika people. We have an extensive, strong, and trusted presence in the local Pasifika community. Our core services address immediate health and social needs as well as social determinants of health.
The role:
Tangata Atumotu is growing at pace, and we are seeking a self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as a Whānau Wellbeing Team Lead. This Team Lead is responsible for a range of programmes including Whānau Ora, Youth Mental Health, Malu-Kaiawhina, Mana Ake, and community navigators.
This role is fixed-term, fulltime and Christchurch-based.
The successful candidate will:
Provide clinical social work oversight and operational guidance of TAT’s response to cases with complex social and mental health needs.
Have proven experience in a supervisory or lead role to provide programme leadership and take responsibility for the effective management of a team of staff across multiple programmes.
Be a collaborative leader who works effectively with others to set plans, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness and reputation.
Hold a current and full NZ driver’s licence and be eligible to work in NZ.
Ability to converse in a Pasifika language would be a bonus.
